A "family business" conducted on public land largely at public expense, without even the payback of nominal rent to the public owners of the land.

You're a regular free-marketeer ain'tcha?

The Bureau of Land Management, whose director was Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.» Breaking: Sen. Makes sense with the current crowd

Well I'm no fan of the armed military government police so if it turns hot oh well. The rancher is wrong, but I still dislike the Iraq style ops the BLM are running.

Let's assume that you have been squatting in my home rental. It costs me more to remove you so I leave you there like the banks did when they didn't want to have onto more property and have to maintain it. Suddenly, something comes along and they want to buy my house to build a strip mall and I am getting top dollar for it and I want to sell so I evict you. What of it?

Oil and cattle go together quite easily. Look at King Ranch for an excellent example in Texas. There are lots of others.

I think they are aware of their audience demographic.

elchivito 04-12-2014 02:13 PM

Appears to be over for the time being. BLM announces it's done.
