Does anyone who identifies himself as a liberal or conservative really have a trust in the other side?

What's a liberal and what's a conservative, I like to hear your expertise about those two words?

I'll plead with the Supreme Court Justice who could not define pornography, but knew it when he saw it.
There are too many shades of coloring to permit definitions that no one could find fault with.

The ironic thing is that "Conservatives" want to conserve very little. That term was correct in its historical context, but not so much, now. Similarly, the democrat socialists of today have very little in common with the democrat party of, say 50-60 years ago.

You seem to be always pretty certain who's a liberal and call conservatives your friends.

Conservatives are progressives now? Always thought the tea-party had a left leaning agenda.

Doubt you will find socialists in the democratic party of today, if they are there it's a negligible minority with no power. So why the fear?

In 1773 in Boston Harbor a bunch of people in disguise pitched a taxable product into the water. Cowardly lawbreakers, every one of them.

Several thousand years ago I could marry my sister. No need to have in laws.

At some point, you have an ancestor that might have "married" a girl in her teens. At that time, it was legal. Laws are always in flux. Would you be ok with doing that same thing today? I mean, it could change and be legal for me to have sex with a 2 year old sometime in the future so what of it?

As long as the consequences are low, I agree.
Now who's shoving tripe? You're all over the place. I'm talking about people choosing between starvation and obeying laws regarding borders.

Nobody was actually starving or they wouldn't have had the strength to make it here but sometimes you see it coming down the road and you hustle like hell to ward it off.

No, you were just dismissing it as wrong, out of context, etc. And you still have no response for it.

And that's exactly like Bundy's protest. They're soul brothers, through and through.

The fees Bundy was being asked to pay were not onerous. Would have cost him much more to graze his cattle on private land.

Since you are being obtuse, let me be clear:

I CONCEDE YOUR POINT.

Its really hard when you have to argue with people who are agreeing with you.

The Tea Tax was not onerous. Come on, people can live without tea, for goodness sakes.

It isn't the amount, it's the imposition.

Have you ever talked to cattle ranchers concerning their view of range management vs the Fed? There are generations of enmity stored-up looking for an expression. Think it helped the relationship by having the dispute escalate to armed confrontation?
