I believe you understand the dilemma. If it looks like a cop car, he dresses like a cop and acts like a cop IS HE REALLY A COP??? A badge and gun carries a LOT of power and most people are intimidated to the point of doing whatever he says to do. I do believe that women should not be out driving alone at night, especially on deserted lonely highways or streets. Better if you can get a male friend to ride along, and according to Chris Rock, best if he's white.
Some states have outlawed unmarked cars but not all. Because, you see, if the policy of maintaining unmarked police cars results in encouraging a serial rapist to try out his new Starsky and Hutch flashing lights, oh well, the only people affected are non-cops. This policy seems to sit well with them.
