I had read that before, not that I mind you bringing it up. A curious thing. I can only imagine that in the midst of some unusually long deluge people slip into a sort of melancholy that enters into mythic territory, particularly among primitive peoples.
The story of Noah is charming in a way. Of course we know that no way in utter hell could anyone or a small army gather a male and female of every species and put them on a boat.
If one were to buy the biblical Noah story, not saying you are, and if one were a 6000 year creationist, one would think Noah, died at age 950, lived for almost 16 percent of the geological life span of this planet.
