The coolest scooters are the BMW's with plexiglas top, windshield wiper and believe it or not--seatbelts!
They were actually that cool that nobody bought them and they are out of production now.

I guess, you would get them really cheap now, they have plenty in stock.

Also the BMW Z8 went out of production. Interesting to see with how many management failure they get away. And don't get me started with the Rover story!

Kind regards
Eberhard

Check out this monster too!:

Also Eberhard, i mentioned my friend Daves (Mr thanks-for-hitting-the-rev-limiter-on-every-shift) "multithousand dollar cycle", well, what he has is no less than the largest collection of Munch motorcycles in North America! No "Munch 2000"'s though, all older ones. All are "Mammut"'s, except for one Titan 1800, and he has the prototype Clymer/Munch Indian Scout.

Kind regards

Hehe

I only found a pic of "Red Porsche Killer"

That thing was build in real, but lost to the 911 S Porsche.

Werner later build the "Satte Liter Schüssel"

One Liter displacement, on cylinder. Wheels made of wood.

Kind regards
Eberhard

I got the Spree. It was a real hoot til my buddy wrecked. I also bought a Honda Elite for my roommate. It is less fun, as it is slower, and uglier.

My brother had a little honda scooter he got for cheap when he want to school, it was great, I loved that little thing, and so easy to park around campus. I used it when I went to school too, and the thing never needed anything but gas.

narwhal,

one big bill ($) would buy you a restored classic vespa that would potentially be worth that amount or more down the road. the older vespas are cool as all getout.

If a person found a Vespa for $1000 in this neck of the woods, it would be in need of total restoration. They're way overpriced in my opinion.

yes, scooter pricing is crazy.

suzuki has a new twin cylinder scooter 650cc that retails at $7700.

$10,500 will buy a new zuk GSXR-1000 with 150 rwhp weighing 400 lbs and capable of over 180 mph out of the crate.

narwhal, if the $ is a concern, and the cool factor is not the primary decision, there is NO reason you cant find a decent scooter cheap. plenty of scoots in the L5P/VH area.

ive bought 2 hondas. 1 spree for $250, and 1 passport for $275

OK I want one too. They're cool, I can get one under 50cc and soup it up!
