Old and bad joke that's not true so much any more:

What do sex in a canoe and most American beers have in common?

There both F****** near water.

I would like to see it....

I watched a History Channel special the other night about making whiskey/scotch/bourbon...It was interesting to see the differences and similarities in how they are made.

It was immediately followed by a great special about brewing beer. Very cool.

my dad used to say 90% of the business in this country is done on a handshake or verbal agreement.

at the time i was a fledgling businessman. i thought he was crazy.

now i fiind it true for me.

i actually do a huge amount of work paying folks by the hour with no fixed contract. i only do this with folks i know well and feel i will continue to do work with in the future.

on the other hand i have also had folks that i had a very detailed precise 20 page contract with who managed to scr#w me, so what counts the most is good faith. no matter how great the contract is, if not agreed to in good faith is worthless.

i have often called places up and placed orders for building materials, sometimes in the thousands of $, and had it shipped on credit to be billed. i guess they can tell i am good for it over the phone. i dont know how, but...

i do love this country too.

A comment about "I love this country" set you off???

Methinks thou needest more than a six pack...

Inicidentally, the comment was something to the effect "isn't this a great country?"

Tomas, relajate un poco compadre...

when i opened my spanish dictionary 'relajate' was on the page i opened to... i will take that as a good omen for the day.

if i were any more 'relajated i would be 'dormido'!

however i may crack open "un cervaza" anyhow.

Monk beer from the 14 holies church in Bavaria. Its like eating German farmer's bread. Its not far from my Grandmothers house by car so its worth the jaunt for a swig every ten years or so.
