got it out.....had to pull out handle far enough...
got it out.....had to pull out handle far enough to turn the whole handle 180 degrees counter clockwise....had mercedes make me key from vin number but it only works ignition unless my door locks are...

when i removed the tank to find the leak i discovered the tank a little dented in and a small cracked/hole where it was dented.. i think the tank had too much pressure and collapsed...i cleaned out...

have an exhaust leak where manifold meets exhaust pipe...is there supposed to be a gasket there? don't see any in manual....thanks again!!!

fuel tank in my 1983 300d collapsed ,, i used some tank sealer to hopefully stop the leak that was created(small crack where the tank bent in) so far no leak...all due to vent line totally...

1982 euro 300d...had to get car towed home seems brake line just past rear driver side door blew...brake fluid flying out...too dark out to get good look up in there...anyone know what size the brake...

worried i might break something...made my own wrenches that fit nicely..maybe because the wreches i made are shorter than ones you buy i'm not getting righ torque and it just feels harder than it is?...

read tons of posts on valve adjustment procedure for 300d...how tight are the 2 lock nuts supposed to be? feels like i'm putting good amount of pressure on them to loosen so i can adjust with feeler...

the lever is there...there is a little play in linkage before throttle starts..this play closes the valve a little down to around 8hg(jumps from 21 to 8) then the vac guage responds from there with...

had the valve lever off and seems to be working...

sorry best pics i have right now...car isn't here.. on the valve on the valve cover the grey line goes to green dashpot that goes to VCV.. the red line goes to trans modulator...will keep searching...

so what dieselgiant.com is talking about metering valves are different sizes of the rubber fittings that restrict vacuum doing to green dashpot that then flows to VCV..?

thanks for the pics...in some of the posts it seemed the connections to the tubes with different size openings is what lessened the vacuum and on dieselgiant.com it made it seem like the metering...
