I have just taken my car for more minor repairs, and again it has come out of the tech with a different problem it came in with.
My red brake warning light keeps lighting up while I am driving. The brake fluid seems quite low, yet I know my pads are OK. Is it OK just to top up the fluid? I don't think I'm ready to change the fluid yet, I would probably mess it up!! Thanks for all your help ------------------ Oliver Plante 1989 300SE 134k 1993 500SE 98K |

Top off the fluid, you are OK> It is normal for the brake fluid to get lower as the pads are worn.

.....but just be a bit careful when it is time to replace the pads as this excess fluid will rise again when the pistons assume their old position and spill. You dont really need brake fluid all over the paintwork, does it no real good at all..
