1989 300se
I am a "new" mercededes owner, 6 months ago I purchased a 1989 300se with 201, 000 miles. Very nice condition, could be the perfect car in my opinion. Except, I have a noticeable vibe in the car, I replaced the flex disc and it became worse.
So I know it is in the drive shaft somewhere. Anyone else have a similar experience? |

RPM or road speed related?
Look for some posts by 'LarryBible' with the words 'driveshaft'

I would inspect the motor mounts, I bet they are caved in and crushed...
BEWARE! If you replace them, you will never step out of your car again! Yes, it is that good! |

Well, it seems to be speed related. Roughly around 55mph is where it seems to vibrate. I will change the mounts first, unless anyone has a better idea. thanks.

Wait!
Before you replace them, just try to inspect them, you will be able to tell if they are broken.
