I have a 1991 420 SEL 160,000 miles, cars is in very good shape. I just found out that the right left front stabilizer bar broke, at the spindle looking thing on the end. It looks like a stud that could be drilled out and welded in, possible? I just put in alot of time and $ replacing the cam change and Im a little gun shy about dumping a bunch more money into it. What kind of cost am I looking at to replace the entire bar?

My mechanic who also works at the dealership once told me that there is a life time warranty on the front stabiliser bar. They often rust and break at the upper ball joint. Try and call your dealer to confirm the MB warranty on this part.

Yeah, those 123/126 front sway bars are a real beeyatch, just terrible the amount of stuff that needs to be removed to finally get to the bar.
