simple question- temp guage centigrade or farenheit.
On my 450sl 1977 temp guage reads farenheit. I see most threads show centigrade. When did change take place? Whats "normal" running temp in farenheit guage? Thanks, Abe G

Don't know when the change took place, but 180 - 190 F. would be about right.
Newer cars tend to run slightly warmer ( 195 thermostats ), mainly for exhaust emissions reasons.

There is a formula but this link will give you a F to C conversion and vice versa.
