Hello all,

Today we lost one of our mechanics at the shop. He died at age 46 of a massive heart attack. He was an incredibly nice man, and a helluva good mechanic. I'd just like to ask that you fellas on this BB please give one moment of silence for Eduardo Rodriguez, a fallen comrade. He will truly be missed by many.

Deepest sympathies on the loss of a valued co-worker and enthusiast. 46 is an awfully young age to have a heart attack. We should all appreciate just a little more all the wonderful aspects of our lives, and remember that there are no guarantees in this life as to quality or duration!

Thank you gentlemen for the replies. It's kinda tough losing a guy like him. We'll make the best of it and get on with life I guess! That's the way things go. Thank you guys again.

Aaron,

I've been enjoying getting to know people on Mshop for going on a year now. Even though I've never had the pleasure of shaking your hand, I feel that I know you a little and respect you a lot. You have been a regular since before I started coming here.

I was surprised at myself how I was effected by reading about the death of someone I've never even heard of. I suppose that we are learning different ways of thinking about people just as the computer age is teaching us different ways of getting to know people.

This brings to me a thought. There are a number of people that I have "met" here. To me it is a sort of scary thought when wondering about what would happen if this heart attack had happened to one of our Mshop friends. What I mean is, most likely we would just never hear from them again. We would never know what happened to them. Just food for thought.

Thanks very much for letting us know about Eduardo. Remember that our thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone in your shop family.

Best regards,
Larry Bible

. .my condolances too, a very sad loss at such a young age. Makes me feel at time like this, just how fragile and vulnerable we mortals really are. A sad loss for you, and my thoughts for a moment to his family . . .

My condolences also. I'm 43, and it gets a person thinking that maybe a person should be more caring and thoughtful. I hope his family is going to be ok.

Aaron,

My Heart goes out to his Friends and Family. It seems shocking when the people we look forward to seeing and working with throughout the day are no longer with us.

I am sure he will deeply be missed.
