Hi Everyone,
I'm in the process of adding a remote alarm system with a door actuator and I want to incorporate it with the existing triggers of the factory alarm. First order of business is locating the factory alarm module. I read posts stating it's underneath the passenger footrest. What I find there is a warning sticker about an airbag/seatbelt tesioner...and that it should be unpluged...etc. The car is a 1984 300SD. Would the factory alarm module be located elsewhere on models with airbags? Any help would be great! Nolan |

Is this a U.S. spec vehicle? I don't recall airbags being offered on '84 300 SDs.
Anyway, check behind the glove box - either by removing the glove box liner or removing the right lower dash access panel. You should see a black rectangular control module labeled 126 820 08 26 (or similar). |
