S-430 Delivery Delay

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but just venting some steam!
I haven't heard word one from my dealer since I bought the car. After pressuring him about delivery, he told me a strange story.
He said that all of his cars were held up in Baltimore as the winshield washer system froze and broke the pump and the pump. They are awaiting parts from Germany.
He was not sure of delivery or why this happened. Anyone else hear of this strange situation? In addition why would MB put summer washer solution in cars in the middle of December- especially going to the east coast?
Is he just blowing smoke in my direction? And finally why no details or communication from MB management or are they just like everyone else.
