Low Coolant Level Warning Light, but fluid is full
1995 E320
My light is on, but everything is fine. The fluid is full in the reservoir. Could it be the sensor that looks like it is plugged into the bottom of the reservoir? Is the sensor an easy thing to replace?

It probably is the sensor and it is fairly easy to replace. Part is probably about $15. Empty the tank by siphoning with a turkey baster.

Thank you for the reassurance.
I am one of those guys with a 1995 E320 that has not replaced the head gasket or the wiring harness, so I was very relieved when I saw the tank was full. I just had the water pump replaced and I was afraid it was going to be the head gasket. I am hoping I don't have any more major expenses this year. The water pump and the kickdown actuator already cost me for this year, so I am hoping to stay clean for a little while.
I have had my car for 8 years, so it isn't too bad to have to pay to fix some of these things, but if you just purchased one of these cars with close to 100K miles, it would be devastating to face some of these very expensive repairs. Can you imagine just buying a car and having to replace the wiring harness, the head gasket, the water pump, the battery, and maybe even the evaporator. You could easily spend the amount you paid for the car, just for the repairs. That is a little scary.

Check..
When you pull the connector off the switch does the light go out? Could be corosion in the connector-happened to me on the washer level indicator. Disassembled it and soldered in a new connector(other one broke on removal). Michael

Everything is fine
It was the connector. I simply unplugged the thing and cleaned it. Now everything is fine.
