heater valve leak
hey guys, im back.
Im down to the heater valve leak now, 80 240D, its the gray palstic valve that resembles a 55ml drum with the control arms on the end. my miniscule research concludes it is not a "monovalve"- at least by the pics i found. Anyway, it leaks where the passenger side control arm connects to it. My question is this: Is there a repair kit or an easy fix other than replacing it? I ask because my Other research indicates that its around $60 for a new one. I will buy another one and I won't complain if I have to, but I'd rather fix it if i can. thanks for input JH |

No it is not a monovalve. You do not have climate control which is why many people seek out 240Ds with bad engines and install 3 liter turbo engines. The part is brittle with age and $60 is nothing compared to what people are shelling out each month in car payments.
