Hi
A friend of mine has a 1993 E200, equipped with Siemen's ECU. When he turns on the air-conditioner, his car will be idling at about 900 rpm. When he turns off the air-conditioner, then the idling will be at approx 1,500 rpm. Anyone know what's wrong with his car, and how to diagnose the problem. Any assistance is appreciated.  Thanks. It sounds as if the idle system is in limp mode. You will have to test the idle control circuit and related components.
