1993 E200 High Idling

Hi

A friend of mine has a 1993 E200, equipped with Siemen's ECU. When he turns on the air-conditioner, his car will be idling at about 900 rpm. When he turns off the air-conditioner, then the idling will be at approx 1,500 rpm.

Anyone know what's wrong with his car, and how to diagnose the problem.

Any assistance is appreciated.
