Hi gang,
BTW thanks for all the invaluable help in the past, but as it is I'm back for more(laugh). I recently had the windshield replaced on my '86 300E. Great job, it's like having a new car, never realized how pitted the old one was. Any how, there are the two peices of gray molding that run up the sides of the windscreen and then all the way along the top of the roof, seems to be held on my a couple dozen or so little clips, we'll of coure at least 1/3 of them broke, which is understandable. question is, can I replace 'em, and if so what's the part number etc.

Thanks
Evan Lewis

The trims along the roof are clamped by replaceable clips (do not have the part# for those at hand). The part of the trims that is besides the front window is clamped by iron clips (but these never break).
The trim at the top of the windscreen is clamped by iron clips as well (but these break neither).

If you go to a MB shop, they should have these roof clips in stock. There are two different versions. The clips are white with either a red or a green part to tighten the clips. You probably need the green version...

greetingz,
