I have an 85 190e and it is starting to miss at idle. The vacuum line that connects to the fuel pressure regulator is capped off because the connector on the regulator has disintegrated. I know I have to replace this... the car is starting to get weaker and weaker (it used to just be in the morning now it is almost all the time) I have no power. This used to be quite a zippy little car. My question is if I replace the Regulator should I expect the performance to come back?
