Yal,

what year and model do you have with the locking diff?

I wonder if I could get it to work with my 85 300SD's ABS....

that is what i was afraid you would say.

i had a complete abs setup on the euro 300d i parted out and decided it was too much work to take off and reinstall on anything else.

I actually have a Euro 230E 1988 W124 with ASD.

Eh... that's not what I said, nor what I meant. The idea was to get limited-slip functionality (35%), not full locking (100%). Getting full locking on a car not originally equipped with ASD from the factory would require massive modifications and $$$. However, using the ASD diff as a core, you can get LSD function - without hydraulics. It's not easy and not cheap, but possible. I'm planning on doing this to my car this winter.
