Enging Wiring Harness response from MB

I just thought I'd share my experience from MB on my 1995 E320 with crappy wiring harness. This is what they sent me. She said if enough people would respond then they woud look into a recall. Pass it along to other boards and flood her office with calls.
Thanks

Sounds like Nicole is new and you're just going to get her fired.

I don't see she is promising you anything. Judging by what she wrote, it's just another way to say "go away".

She did promise to review the info...am certain she will, and that she will still be doing so when she retires.

Definitely a brush off letter. I can't imagine Dr. Z caring at all. He has Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps to sell. Get out the soldering gun and some new wire.

Yes, unfortunately, MB didn't stand by their 'harnesses' soon after they popped up as duds, though they admitted it...so not to burst your bubble but do not expect any help nowadays from MB on this well known (old) issue. I agree its disappointing that MB won't help us after the fact.

In the recent past, if your were the original owner of the car; you might have been lucky to have your dealer 'goodwill' you one....and that depended on how good a relationship you had with your dealer.

Supposedly, the new harnesses are better made though...

Mine went bad and I sold the car to some one inclinded to fix it. It was to much money and much easier to get another car.

Best of luck.
