Excuse me sir, but I am having a bit of a surging problem myself, it is a slight surge, nothing idle threatening.... I have already replaced the OVP, since i was getting 500 lower RPMS on cold starts....

Which hose was it exactly? I replaced the one that goes from the idle control valve to the fuel distributor area, but I have not idea how in the world to replace the one from the left end of the idle control valve to the deep innards!

HELP ME!!!

Judging from your ID, I believe your engine is an M103 (mine, an M104)...different vacuum setups, to be exact.

Most here just went about systematically replacing ALL of the hoses in the system throughout the engine (they are probably in need considering age, anyway).

I can't point out WHICH hose was the bad one, since my indie solved it, not me. I personally had trouble doing this myself due to lack of experience with vacuum systems in general.

I hope someone else with the same engine configuration as yours will chime in...this is a pretty common problem among W124 models...
