Here's a new one. The driver's side brake light sometimes stays on after releasing the brake pedal. Other times it does not go on when the brake pedal is applied. This is on my 92 300E. I do get a "bulb out" indication on the panel in both circumstances. Since this started I have replaced the bulb and replaced all of the fuses in the fuse and relay box (it was time to do it anyway). Any ideas as to what may be causing this. As always, your input is greatly appreciated.

Our '96 had a bulb-out problem. Bulb was good, the holder had been mis-inserted into the housing, causing some of the printed-circuit-like conductor to crack away. No amount of readjusting the tabs on the bulb holder would help.
Have a close look at the socket/holder, and the housing for signs of abuse. Hope this helps. BCingU, Jim |

Thanks, Jim. I'll give that a try. Good suggestion.
