I've had my Instrument Panel out to work on the speedometer/odometer and I had a hard time removing it because the top edge had gotten caught on the sheet metal edge of the interior of the dash. The sheet metal bent downward and I tried to straighten it again.

Now I have problems with the lights for the three sets of primary guages of the panel.(the three circles... speedometer etc. O O O) At times one or two of them light up ,sometimes none of them. If I move the panel out and in and wiggle it some the lights will all come on.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I suspect a ground or grounds of some sort.

Thanks and smiles.

The bottom screws link the grounds together. You may not have them tight enough.

Thanks Benz but I don't recall the bottom screws you are refering to. Do you mean screws that hold the back of the instrument panel onto the housing or screws that hold clips along the bottom of the panel?

Smiles.

The screws that keep the back panel onto the housing.
And if I were you, I would change all bulbs as well while I was at it...

greetingz,

I tightened the screw and changed the two bulbs. Seems to work fine now.

Thanks!

Smiles
