I have an 86' 560 SEL. Neither power rear seat is able to be moved but the heaters work. According to my fuse panel lid the seats share the same fuse with two windows that both work. Are the motors shot or is there something else I'm missing ? Thanks for any assistance

Try moving the switch back and forth. Do you hear any motors working? The system uses two motors and two cables. The cables are known to stretch and fall out of place. They can easily be modified by a tech or you can replace them yourself. Shouldn't be too expensive. Vin |

I do not know how to check the switches to see if they work. I did manage to get them out of the door and they were connected. Also the seats make no noise when the switch is activated.

It could be a bad relay. I believe the front and rear seats have seperate relays. Try switching the silver ice cube relays around to see if the seat works. The relays are located in the fuse panel. Also check the fuses labled A,B,C,D. Good luck...
