I don't know. I don't get out there that often, I usually turn on 25th street and go across to Palmdale BLVD. Sometimes I go out to 40th St. to go to Wally World and Big 5
Pines restaurant is still there. I haven't been to 4 corners or Littlerock for about a year.

CS,
If it has not already been answered...no danger of shock what so ever with wires with car off.

If you put the idle control valve off the car, get a can of air intake cleaner or if you cant find that get carb cleaner and use it to clean the idle control valve. Use the whole can on it and spray it til the fluid runs clean

I can't find it
Would it be under the air cleaner?

Is it on top of fuel distributor?

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/attachments/tech-help/48102d1190781760-500sec-fuel-system-problem-mbintaketop1.jpg

Where would I look?
Only been under there 1X
I checked my photos trying to blow up every part
but don't see it.

I'll have to get a can of air intake cleaner
as well as dielectric grease & a brass brush
which I may have for cleaning golf clubs
might have something around here

Thanks, I will feel better about the electrical
have this thing for not wanting to get shocked.

Once I tried to fix my coffee pot
forgot to take the plug out
Luckily screwdriver was insulated & the breaker blew

I did eventually fix it...

The Idle Control Valve is to the left of the distributor and behind the water inlet or between the two, It is round, 3 times longer than the dia. it has a two wire connector in the front and a big rubber hose on the right and a smaller one on the rear that goes into the manifold....if you engine is like the 380se engine.

CS,
Not sure where it is...but it has to have a supply air hose and a output air hose, both are likely black rubber and smooth with no texture. About an 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 in diameter, maybe a little more. The air it it outputting ( noce word) goes to the air intake portion of the engine and the throttle body under the air cleaner, so yes, it is likely inder there. Is is most likely near or under the air cleaner near the throat of the throttle body.

I drove my 16v out one a trip on the highway yesterday and got a rock thrown at me and chipped my windshield! Not fair! I got it sealed today so it would not spread, it is very small and someof it did go away but I can still tell you exactly where it is!

Your distributor area on your engine is different than mine.

My ICV lays flat long wise to the engine, black electrical plug on the front, hose on back and hose on right. It is aluminum colored and it is held in place by a black nylon? ring and a 14MM??? nut. to the left of my Distributor.

I'm so new at this that I don't know if the engine blocks and valve covers are the same for 380 and 500's. and...your's is a Euro too.
