The sensor is pictured in the link above. I was told that because the blue piece (plastic/ceramic?) turned within the brass piece that this was not good.
Problem was that I was not sure that the fans were always engaging at the right time. Although it might not have been defective, for $25 it was a no brainer to just change it for piece of mind. Willy
