How extensive was it put in the new white gauges? What was involved? Did you have to remove the cluster? If so, pull it out and make sure everything is still connected! Is only the speedometer not work? Or are other things not working?

Well I'd double check the connections in the back of the cluster.
I would think you have blown a fuse (#4), but that would disable EVERYTHING in the cluster, albeit the temp gauge.
