Need help on 300D 85 Timing Chain replacement
(1)The Service CD specifies separate procedures for change out of the Timing Chain, Chain Tensioner, Chain Guide and Chain Gear but does not specify a composite procedure for the simultaneous change-out of all 4 items. My question is using the SEPARATE Service CD procedures for all 4 components--Timing Chain, Chain Tensioner, Guide and Gear--how do I change out all of them at the SAME time?
(2) I remember once reading about someone recommending the use of tie wraps to attach the old chain to the new chain when threading the new chain through the front camshaft/crankshaft assembly. What would the tie wraps be used for? (3) Anyone got any useful tips or suggestions? I'm a little nervous... Thank you, Respectfully, Richard Chang
