Hey Texholdem, I have a smoked silver W210 just like the totaled one in the pics. Did you notice if the interior was mushroom? If so, did you notice if the driver's side seat bottom cover was OK?

Yes, the interior was mushroom as mine but it was a mess inside, perhaps only because of dirt and debris lying around, did not notice tear or damages to the front seats, the back seats were turned over though, someone might have taken the battery.

Cool, thanks. Sounds like I'll pass this time. If it were closer I'd take a look...

San Antonio Pick n Pull

I have come across some intersting ones though. I have seen a manual trans w126, lots of euro cars including one w126 that had crank and manual everything, velour seats and a nasty green color. ive even seen a c126 500sec amg! too bad the po tool lousy care of it.
I was there the other day and there is a fairly nice 1991 300CE - Black - looks like owned by an elderly couple from a random photo found inside - I didn't need anything from it - but took note of the windshield since my 86 300E windscreen has a crack that doesn't NEED replacing, but I may anyway just because

I second the thought that most of what I find is 126 and 123's - but as time goes by they should be getting some of the old 124's in too.

Anyone in SA want to meet up there and scavenge together I'd be up for helping get some of the big stuff (like an engine or trans) if someone needs it - I like to play in the junkyard Send me a PM.

In my country wrecking yards are now called auto recyclers.
A lot of the parts on the bay are from them.
They even buy up whole cars on ebay to part out.

There are specialist German car recyclers which carry Bimmer, Benz spares.
You wont get much of a deal from those guys
Some of these yards import whole bodies from Europe to breakdown and sell the parts

Sometimes it cheaper to buy our parts from the U.S. even taking into account the shipping.
