'92 190e Power window clicks, doesn't move
Two power windows in my '92 190E do not move. The motors can be heard when the proper button is pressed, but there is a mechanical clicking as if some gears are not engaged or broken.
What am I looking at for parts and costs?

You will need the window regulator more than likely. Just look them up in the fastlane under 'online catalogue'.

Dumb question, but are the windows in the "up" position? I drive my Benz only on weekends and have learned to store it (covered in the garage) with the windows cracked open a smidge. I've learned that they can "stick" to the seals in the "up" position. Just a thought -- have someone work the "down" button while you "palm" the inside and outside of the suspect window, adding downforce while the button is operated.
Good luck. Brian16V |
