W126 bouncing speedometer
The speedo in the 91 SE has been steady for the year and a half I've had the car. When I parked today however, it jumped just as I came to a stop. I jammed on the brake again and it jumped again. It didn't jump again after that. I haven't driven it since. The only thing out of the ordinary is that my washer fluid light came on yesterday and I haven't attended to it. It was off when the speedo did its bouncing bit.
I've been hearing a ticking sound from behind the dash that corresponds to vehicle speed. Maybe the cable's going? Thanks, Sixto 91 300SE 81 300SD
