Ran into a similar problem, the kick down switch below the gas pedal was stuck on. Removed the carpet that was causing the switch to get stuck and the car started to shift normal again. Good luck John

Solved!!!!

Thanks, John

I check and found kick down switch was in properly.

Took out the kick down solenoid, renew the O-rings and crush washer/gasket.

Problem SOLVED!!...Bowden cable is able to control shift point.

Does anyone has the modulator pressure setting? Gearshift a little harsh.
