Talking Gas in NYC...

I was driving down Northern Blvd., from Helms Brother Mercedes Benz when I notice an exxon gas station with radical prices on their gas. Here was the break down. Regular $ 1.15; Plus $ 1.23; Supreme (93) $1.23. The plus and supreme strikes me as odd, neverless I went in to ask whats up. They said they have a gas sale every .monday from 8PM through Tuesday Midnight , and the prices for supreme hovers around $1.23 during this period. It took only about 25 buck to fill it up from the 1/4 mark. What a bargin, just to let you Queens & Nassau County Mercedes Owners know. Their addresss is 32 Northern Blvd, across the street from Golden Harvest Buffet.

P.s. I know this don't really belong here, but its were most people go.

Wow. Gas is expensive in New York. In Austin Tx, I get angry if I have to pay $1.23 for premium... I guess thats the price you pay for living on the east coast!

Badinfo,

That consider cheap in NYC, self serve 93 Octane hovers around 1.43 to 1.49 in NYC. Full Serve hovers around 1.65 - 1.70. What is the average 93 octane gas in your area?

RJSL! Thank you! I'll pull by there tonight and check it out.

Yes people this is what we have to go through in New York. If I told you how much we pay for insurance too, you'd probably pass out!

I do not get into the city very often but when gas was real expensive I saw a station on the east side of town with premium running like $2.35 at least they pumped it for you! Have not been in town for a while, for obvious reasons, besides my clutch being out.

I know about the UK prices mate, I use to live there and I still have immediate family there and I feel your pain!!! I very rarely hear the words "I just filled up my tank" when I am over there.

Wow, to me all your gas is expensive. Ours in St. Louis (GO RAMS) $.98 regular, 1.10 silver, 1.25 Premium...Ours does fluctuate a lot, but regular never goes above $1.10.

I have NEVER filled my car with premium. It runs like a champ on regular. Regular goes for $1.03 to $1.15 here in the Detroit area.

In Chicago I pay around a $1.39/Gal up to a $1.50/Gal for premium, I have paid, as much as $2.40/Gal last summer when prices were very high. And I have also traveled to many Europe and Middle East countries where in the US we should definitely consider our selves lucky for what we pay for gas even at $2.40/Gal. I have a friend overseas who got the same car as mine. A 93 W140 it cost him around $150 dollar each fill-up.

But most cars there are smaller and a lot of cars are diesel, which makes things a bit better. And the travel distances and road congestion and traffic we deal with here are almost a rare occurrence. My friend only works 1.3 miles away from home.
