Function prerequisites for "Starting Engine":
Transmitter card for keyless go in the vehicle passenger compartment. Selector lever in position "P" for parking. Foot brake actuated. If you push the start/stop button on the shifter, circuit 15 (ignition) is switched on, but no crank signal unless your foot is on the brake. Read the owners manual! Didn't the car get demonstrated at all before you took possesion of it? Gilly
