190 Shifter console problem!

Ok, Here goes,
I managed to disassemble the console around the shifter to replace the bulb in there but when it come to putting it back together, the wood trim doesn't clip back in properly. The front seems to fit OK but the rear keeps popping back up.
Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I've missed something when re-assembling....
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
