Looking at a used 1989 300e.
The current owner says the transmission was rebuilt 30K miles ago.
Apparently, transmission warranty expired at 24K
Intermittently Slips, and have to shift into 2nd gear to engage it.

Ideas, or am I looking at putting 2K into having it fixed?
Guess is it wasn't happening while it was under warranty.
