Is there any way to extend the remote operation range? Where is the receiving antenna? The current usable range is about 50 feet. What's point of pushing the panic button to scare car thieve if I have to be 50 feet away from the car?
I also have a 95 Honda Accord with an aftermarket alarm. The range was about 100 feet. I did extend the range up to 200 feet by simply reroute the antenna coming out of the alarm unit. The dealer who installed it simply tie the antenna wire under the steering area. I managed to bring that wire up to the dashboard which gave me a 200 feet range. That's why I want to find out where the antenna is, so I can do the same thing. |

The range & frequency of the remote is set by the U.S. Government. Mercedes & other car makers must follow regulations set by the F.C.C.
