My 1987 260E starts within the first half-rotation of the engine - but immediately stalls. Re starting takes about 3-4 seconds of starter.
I have a Porsche 928 that had the same problem and found it to be the little one-way valve/bolt/thing at the fuel pump allowing fuel pressure leak-back to the tank. This caused a several-second delay to re-pressurize while starting. Could this be the same problem on this car? If so, where is the fuel pump and who carries the part? If not, does anyone have suggestions? ------------------ -Steve |
