I've noticed a squeaking sound coming from my front vents even on a good road, the dealer sprayed some silicon spray - but only fixed it for about a day.
This has left a sour note in my mouth because I spent a premium dollar for average problems. Is this normal, I have a couple friends who had this type of problems with their CLK, is Mercedes quality going the way of Chevy? I’ve also observed, but I may be wrong, that the center front vents are snapped in place, not screwed – this true? |

Well, even on the 124's the some of the vents did snap in instead of screw. What you are going through is the first model year bugs. They will correct these minor things and you will be satisfied I hope.

Once the annoyance is fixed I’ll be satisfied.

I have a '99 CLK320 and have noticed that the area around the sunroof creaks when I drive around.
