500 sec waterpump help
how the hell do you remove the bottom bolt on the waterpump, ive loosenend it rite off and the bloody timing ring is stopping it popping out, do i have to remove the whole pulley system just for 1 bolt?

There is a notch or cutout on the harmonic balancer. Turn the engine until this notch lines up with the bolt and see if this will work. It works with the a\c compressor bracket.

i lined up the cut out and the bolt is 3/8" below it, it just wouldnt pull up into the cut out
ive put the whole shebang back as it was, i discovered the grinding noise from the pump was the dipstick housing rubbing on the waterpump pulley!!!!! when the thermostat was changed they aligned the dipstick wrongly ps IS THE LEFT SENSOR ON THE THEROSTAT HOUSING THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR THAT ACTIVATES THE ELECTRIC FAN? You're not alone
The same thing happened to me after I re-installed a cylinder head on my 380. Except my pulley must be a bit out of round and it was a banging noise. I was sure I had gotten the cam timing wrong and the whole thing was about to come apart.
