My 85 300D with 165K has slip from 2-3. RPM increases about 500 before 3 gear engages completely. Replaced modulator valve. Overhauled Vac system. Fluid and filter changed at 155K. Is the B2 piston problem?

Could be that or a worn part in the tranny. You need someone who knows these well to look into this.
