I am having a really tough time trying to find this part for my 85 euro 280se front doors. It "sandwiches" the toothed rail between the power window motor and itself. No part #'s and nobody seems to know what it is. Please help! Look at these 2 url's for pictures. http://www.geocities.com/radioman911/parts/wguide1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/radioman911/parts/wguide2.jpg

That sure looks like a 126 720 02 14 to me. Have you had a Mercedes-Benz parts specialist look it up?

Well I have had at least 5 different parts places that "specialize" in MB stuff shrug their sholders. One parts dealer sent me front window slide jaws even after seeing the picture! Your the first person to even suggest a part # for it... Mercedesshop sponsors, if your reading this thread, I need 2 of these!

I do recognize that part and do have the number writen down at work. It bolts thru the window regulator and onto the window motor (front doors W126). It keeps the window motor gear engaged with the regulator teeth.

Thats exactly it MetricMan! If you would, let me know the part # for this thing (probably the # Randy posted above). I need to get 2 of them, along with the rubber grommets where the bolts go through. Last thing I have to do after the doors is calibrate the K-jet FI on this car. The tailpipe is still showing a little grey smoke and hesitation on acceleration, and it's idle is way too fast (about 1400rpm) even with the idle screw all the way in...
This list has been an incredible tool on figuring out this car. THANK YOU ALL!

I agree with 126 720 02 14
It's a Motor to Base Plate Bracket.
We've got 'em in stock in PartsShop.
