I have a good line on both an 87 and 89 190E.

Is there any major difference or preference on either model. Both have similar mileage at approx. 116K. Also, both are automatic.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Well, all other things being equal I'd buy the '89. It's two model years younger.

since 1988, side body plastic cladding was added, and the front airdam and rear apron were updated. the updates are subtle and pleasing to the eye.

In addition, the following improvements were introduced during that time:
- front seatbelt height adjustment on the B-pillars
- electric passenger-side mirror
- more comfortable seats

go for the 89 ...
