I've read posts about MB V8s having slightly stretched timing chains adjusted by using offset woodruff keys on the cam sprockets. Are there offset woodruff keys that could be used on a diesel ('82 240D, '84 300SD)? Lining up the marks on the cam tower shows 4-5 degrees late timing. This is on the 300SD, with 276,000 miles.

Just curious if MB designed the diesels with the same "method" to compensate for late timing (other than replacing the chain and tensioner).
