There seems to have been a mistake in my owner's manual concerning crankcase capacity. Could someone please tell me what refill is on my 92' 300D 2.5 Turbo?

Does your misprint in the owners manual say the oil capacity is somewhere around 2 gallons? If so, that seems to be about normal for Mercedes. My 4.5L V-8 take 8 quarts, as does a co-workers 3L, 5 cyl diesel.
