remove 220d instrument panel

I'm sure this question has been answered many times before. I did do multiple searches with different keywords, but haven't been able to find a post dealing with it. How do I remove my instrument cluster in my 69 220d? The lamps aren't functioning. I've played with the rheostat to no avail.
