Car shows

I have brought the SLD to a few car shows lately. Today I went to the first annual car show at my local Calvary Chapel. It was well attended, with nearly 100 cars. For their first time, I would say it was very well organized and a great success. Of course they were mostly hot rods, customs, muscle cars, a couple "gassers", and the like. I think there were only four European cars= My SLD and three VW's. Only one Japanese truck that I remember seeing. It was a great mix of cars, and there was even four mini bikes! One of my favorite cars was a work-in-progress '65 Corvair with a Pontiac Supercharged V6 mounted amidship. The builder used many of the parts from the Pontiac donor including the entire drivetrain package, dashboard, radiator, brake system and wiring. It is a way-cool concept in my opinion. Next week I will be attending another show in the city about 20 miles away. It should be a good one too!
