Silly odometer...
We took a road trip yesterday to Rochester. I filled up the tank and rest the trip meter. A few minutes later I noticed that the trip meter was at 0.9 and holding...and the odometer had stopped too. I pushed reset again and everything worked again for another 0.9 miles and then they would both stop (speedo worked fine). So I figured I'd look into it when I got back home. Well...today we drive again and everything works fine! I guess I lost about 300 miles on the odometer. But now I'm scared to reset the trip meter again.
Has anyone gone through this exercise from dieselgiant? http://dieselgiant.com/repairyourodometer.htm I think its probably the harder-to-fix problem that I have. Is it that tough to do? I'm so close to 300,000 and also the 500,000km mar too, I'd like to keep it working...and the trip meter isuseful too. If anyone's got any tips, I'd appreciated it! -Geoff
